Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghana born French International Guard Yakuba Ouattara has signed for Spanish side Coosur Real Bets Sevilla.
The move was confirmed earlier today with French news outlet L’Equipe confirming Ouattara’s departure after spending five seasons with French side Monaco.
With Monaco, the 28 year old Shooting Guard won the French Leader’s Cup in 2016 and 2017 and consistently featured in the EuroCup.
Ouattara led Monaco to first place in the French Pro A Regular Season standings averaging 11 points and 4.4 rebounds in 25 games. He played 16 games in the EuroCup and averaged nine points and 3.1 rebounds in the 2019-2020 season but both competitions were cancelled due to the spread of the corona virus.
Born in Tepa in Ghana, Ouattara moved to France and has represented the European nation at the Under 20 level and Senior Level. He was part of the last round of cuts for France ahead of the 2019 World Cup.
He has played for Long Island Nets in the NBA Gatorade League and was on the roster of NBA franchise Brooklyn Nets for a brief period.
