A handful of clubs Ghanaian basketball Players played for in previous years have been featured in the Draw for the 2020-2021 Basketball Champions League.
The Draw was conducted earlier today in Mies, Switzerland with 28 teams drawn into four groups with slots for four more teams to join the group stage of the continental championship.
RetaBet Bilbao, Limoges and Peristeri GS have been drawn in Groups D, C and A respectively in the competition Ghana players have played for.
Ben Bentil played for Bilbao and Peristeri before joining Panathinaikos and will compete in the EuroLeague this season just as he did last season.
Bentil has also played for Champagne Charlons-Reims in France and an excellent season with Peristeri secured led to a two year deal with Panathinaikos.
Alhaji Mohammed played for Limoges for two seasons and was recently inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame. Mohammed is on the books of US Monastir in Tunisia for the Basketball Africa League.
