Former Ghanaian-British International Basketball Player Pops Mensah-Bonsu has thrown light on his career as a professional during his time in the NBA.
The ex Toronto Raptors Power Forward shared on his official Twitter page a highlight reel of him showing off his athleticism.
Mensah-Bonsu’s breakaway windmill dunk where he cradled the ball in one hand before slamming it in the hoop. NBA Legend Michael Jordan famously pulled off a similar dunk but in reverse and fellow Legend Julius “Dr. J” Erving cradled the ball the same way before dunking it.
Mensah-Bonsu’s play happened in a Dallas Mavericks NBA Summer League game in 2007 and drew awes from the crowd gathered to witness one of the famous league’s preseason games.
Since calling it quits on his professional career after nine years, Mensah-Bonsu has made a successful transition to management as heads Capital City Go-Go as General Manager.
Capital City plays in the NBA Gatorade League-a developmental league for players- and is affiliated to Washington Wizards in the mainstream NBA.
Born to Ghanaian parents, Mensah-Bonsu represented Great Britain at the 2012 Olympic Games.
