Budding Ghanaian basketball star Ebenezer Dowuona has had fun moments in recent days as the clock continues to tick down to the start of his freshman year North Carolina State University.
The 6 foot 10 inch player who plays the Power Forward and Center positions celebrated his 18th birthday on June 30 with his team joining in the fun.
On Wednesday, July 8, North Carolina State’s group of first year players on its Men’s Basketball Team picked their jersey numbers for the 2020-2021 season.
Dowuona picked Jersey Number 21 after wearing Jersey Number 10 for most part of his High School career. He averaged eight points, 14 rebounds and two blocks in his senior year at The Heritage School in Georgia and had as many as 19 scholarship offers before picking the Wolfpack.
The athletic defender is one of five first year players for North Carolina State and is one of the West African nation’s players to look out for on America’s College Basketball scene.
