Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghanaian-Italian International Shooting Guard David Reginald Cournooh will play the 2020-2021 season for Virtus Bologna in the Italian Serie A Basketball League.
The news was reported by EuroBasket earlier this week after the club announced it had released the veteran player after the 2019-2020 season ended.
However, the club decided recently to keep him around for another season as part of its offseason moves ahead of the new campaign due to commence later this year.
The 29 year old 6 foot 2 inch player averaged 4.7 points in 15 minutes off the bench in the league while he registered 3.3 points and 2.1 rebounds per game in the EuroCup.
The latest deal means Cournooh extends his two year stay at the club by another year; after spending the bulk of his career in Italy, Cournooh has been named an All Star twice.
He won the 2003 Italian Super Cup during his time Biancoblu Bologna and recently won the 2019 FIBA Champions League. He has represented Italy at the Under 20 level and Senior National team in 2016.
