Basketballghana.com can confirm Francophone All Stars Basketball Club Captain Kofour Osei won’t compete in the 2020 Tema Community Basketball League.
He stated this in an exclusive interview with Ghana’s leading basketball portal recently as news surfaced of his team’s absence in the upcoming campaign.
That was confirmed and the possibility of a switch was quashed by the Forward who indicated he doesn’t plan to compete in the league.
“I actually don’t plan to play in the TBL (Tema Basketball League)” he said in response to the question and ending any thoughts of him wearing a different team jersey in the next campaign.
Due to various reasons, Francophone All Stars-made up of individuals from French speaking countries in Africa based in Ghana-have pulled out of the league at least for the 2020 season.
The team had competed in back to back playoffs in the league before announcing its exit; the start date for the 2020 season is yet to be confirmed due to a ban on contact sports in Ghana as a result of the corona virus spread.
