Veteran Angolan National Senior Men’s Basketball Team Point Guard Carlos Morais has expressed his desire to play basketball competitively again after stating he misses the sport.
He expressed this in an interview with FIBA Media as the world of basketball continues to grapple with the effects of the corona virus pandemic.
“Obviously, I miss the game of basketball. You know just the all environment, the fans, the coaching staff, my teammates, yeah I definitely miss the game I miss the game a lot” he said.
The virus has killed over two million people worldwide and has infected over 100,000 on the African continent with Angola as one of the least affected.
After playing out his two year deal with Portuguese side Benfica in 2018, Morais has featured in the Angolan League for Petro de Luanda.The league was cancelled due to corona virus.
Aside winning multiple FIBA Africa Club Championships, Morais has featured prominently in Angola’s golden era bagging four AfroBasket titles along the way.
