Basketballghana.com gathers new teams are set to be included in the 2020 Tema Community Basketball League season in the face of old teams dropping out of the competition.

Due to a myriad of reasons chief among them finances, teams that competed in previous seasons of the fast rising league in Ghana are on the verge disbanding.

To replace them, the league has received interest from new teams who desire to join the roster to compete for the league title in the coming years.

Tema Heat Club ranked second in the 2018 season after losing 1-2 in the Finals Series to Nungua Coldstore but after exiting in the first round of the 2019 campaign, the team is on its way to down.

Three players have already exited the club and transferred to Tema Community 4 Club this offseason; Mubarak Alhassan and Mustapha Ahmed are among the players transferred.

The league will commence once a ban on contact sports in the face of the corona virus spread is lifted on July 31 in the West African country.
