Basketballghana.com can confirm Spintex Knights Basketball Club has commenced preparations for the 2020 Tema Community Basketball League season.
The team posted pictures from the opening day of Training Camp on its official Twitter page; the training camp took place this past weekend at the University of Ghana campus.
The camp is to prepare the playing body for the upcoming Tema League season; the league’s start date is likely to be confirmed once the ban on contact sports in Ghana ends on July 31.
Players involved in the training session included new recruits Joel Tham and Muhaimin Guba with returning players like Kontor Appiah, Abdul Bashiru, Gabriel Numarworse, John Teye Okumoh and Elvis Pobi-Siaw.
Spintex has eyes on winning the 2020 league title after placing second behind Nungua Coldstore Club in the 2019 campaign. Knights lost twice in the Finals Series.
The team made its debut in the fast rising league last season and impressed along the way beating 2017 League champs Tema Community 4 to reach the finals.
