The signing was made official early on Tuesday, June 16 after the Small Forward-Shooting Guard ended his two year run with Brescia the past week.
Reports reaching Ghana’s biggest basketball portal indicate, the former Cantu player has penned a three year deal with Bologna who topped the league standings prior to the suspension and eventual cancellation of the league due to the corona virus outbreak.
27 year old Abass led Brescia to third place in the league with 14 wins and seven losses; Bologna paced the league with 18 wins and two losses.
After spending two years respectively at Brescia and Olimpia Milano, this is Abass’ fourth team in Italy’s top flight division. He ended last season averaging 14 points and 4.4 rebounds.
The swingman has been a consistent presence in Italy’s national teams over the past couple of years and featured at the 2019 World Cup in China.
He averaged eight points and three rebounds in 21 minutes across four games in the Asian country.
