Nungua Coldstore Basketball Club is focused on winning a third Tema Community Basketball League title in a row according to Team Manager Wendell Otoo.
He said this in an interview with Basketballghana.com as teams continue to gear up for the 2020 League season; the league’s start date is however yet to be confirmed since Ghana is observing a ban on all contact sports due to the corona virus pandemic.
The West African nation has recorded over 11,000 cases of infection at the time of writing but that has not stood in the way of Tema League clubs preparation for the upcoming campaign.
While reigning champions Coldstore have had a quiet offseason, title contenders Spintex Knights and Tema Community 4 have been on a player signing spree as their beef up their respective roster to take down Coldstore.
However, Otoo has seemingly dismissed the impact of such trades on his team’s focus for the 2020 league season stating:
“Our mind is not on trading for players but our mind on a three peat so we are just gunning for that”. Otoo doubles as Head Coach and Bankroller of the team.
