Tema Community 4 Basketball Club Assistant Coach Nana Akowuah Asare has lauded the hyperactivity of teams on the trade market this offseason in the league.
He asserted to the offseason frenzy in an exclusive chat with Basketballghana.com in the aftermath of Community 4’s completion of Forward/Center Mustapha Ahmed’s exit from Tema Heat.
The signing is the first of many according to reports reaching Ghana’s leading basketball portal with C4 willing to challenge Spintex Knights runaway success reeling in players ahead of the 2020 campaign.
Knights have made three signings including reigning Most Valuable Player Award winner Joel Tham and Small Forward Muhaimin Guba thus far this season.
Looking at massive interest the moves have created in and outside the basketball circles in Ghana, Akowuah is in support of such acts.
“I must say that these trades make the league more exciting and also shows the ability of players to display their readiness to fit into new teams and playing style or new team system” he said.
C4 won the Tema League in 2017 but exited in the second round of the 2019 Playoffs.
