Basketballghana.com gathers Ghana’s Wheelchair Basketball Federation is in line for a top up of donated items from the Rebecca Akufo-Addo Foundation.
This comes on the back of the Foundation donating assorted items to the Federation recently to aid the latter’s fight against COVID 19 in the West African nation.
Items donated included bags of rice, boxes of hand sanitizers and boxes of cleaning detergents; items were received by Federation President Max Varden and Secretary General Wilson Agbesi.
It was the second donation made to the Federation in the space of a month following Ghana Paralympic Committee’s philanthropic gesture in late May.
After answering the call of the Federation within 48 hours, reports reaching Ghana’s biggest basketball portal indicate more items could be added in another round of donation.
Ghana continues to intensify efforts to fight the corona virus pandemic that has infected over 9,000 persons in the country at the time of writing. In previous years, the Federation has experienced challenges getting support.
