Spintex Knights Basketball Club has won the Tema Community Basketball League offseason thus far after a slew of high profile announcements in recent weeks.

The team has signed two players and replaced Dr. Eric Opoku-Antwi as Head Coach with Thomas Amediku; Joel Tham and Muhaimin Guba were signed weeks after the coaching change.

Point Guard Tham and Small Forward Guba were signed from fellow Tema League sides Nungua Coldstore and Tema Community 4 respectively.

However, all three personalities share a connection with Adenta Leopards Club in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I.

Tham

Adenta lost 1-2 in the finals series to Braves of Customs in the 2019 League campaign with the trio heavily featured in the team’s run.

After missing out on the Tema League title in its debut campaign last season, Knights have recruited all three to aid their pursuit to take down Coldstore.

Tham was named 2019 Most Valuable Player in the Tema League and was in the running to win the same award in the ABL last season.
