Basketballghana.com can confirm the Ghana Wheelchair Basketball Federation has not begun distribution of donated items to members of the Federation but rather collation of names is taking place.
This news was confirmed by Federation Media Officer Sandy Asiedu in the wake of the Federation receiving items from the Rebecca Akufo-Addo Foundation.
Items donated to Federation President Max Varden and Secretary General Wilson Agbesi included bags of rice, boxes of hand sanitizers and cleaning detergents.
This was the second donation made to the Federation after Ghana’s Paralympic Committee acted same a couple of weeks earlier.
“Wilson (Agbesi) is collating people who received items in some regions from the earlier donation to prevent people from benefiting twice from the relief effort that is what is happening now but for sharing we haven’t started sharing but is going to happen is the regional reps will come to Accra for the items and distribute them in their domains” Asiedu said.
The items were donated to aid the Federation’s fight against COVID in Ghana.
