Ghana Wheelchair Basketball Federation (GWBF) Media Officer Sandy Asiedu has lauded the efforts of Ghana’s First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo.
He did so after the First Lady through her self-titled Foundation donated items to the Federation earlier this week to aid the fight against COVID 19 in the country.
Director of Operations of Rebecca Akufo-Addo Foundation, Akosua Newman made the donation on behalf of the Foundation to Federation President Max Varden and General Secretary Agbesi Wilson.
Since boxes of hand sanitizers, nose masks and detergents and bags of rice were donated, GWBF Media Officer Asiedu has chimed in on the act.
On behalf of the GWBF, I want to thank our First Lady Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo for her kindness…because our athletes and not just the Federation has been crying out for help for years. Some of these gestures go a long way of making sure the Federation doesn’t only focus on solidifying our domestic competition but also making sure we are properly funded to prepare ourselves for international championships” he said.
Ghana has over 8,800 cases on COVID 19 infection.
