Accra Basketball League (ABL) Director Alex Kukula is confident qualified personnel will ensure the league is played safely on its resumption.
He made this statement in an interview with Hood2Hood Basketball as the league continues to await for the end of an indefinite suspension.
The suspension came in the wake of the corona virus pandemic that forced Ghanaian authorities to ban all social gatherings that lasted over two months.
After touching on the disruption of a planned expanded version of the 2020 season playoffs, the veteran administrator was confident about the level of expertise the league has in the face of the safety concerns.
“Fortunately we have experts who will give directions I think before even they lift the ban, they will tell us that you can do this, you can’t do this and we will sit down and fit it in our league and play it safely for both players and spectators” he said.
His comments came prior to the announcement from Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo who lifted the ban but stated only non contact sports could be played on a large scale.
An update on contact sports is expected on July 31 officially.
