Basketballghana.com understands the Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA) will partner with Rite Sports Limited to put together the 2019 Ghana Basketball Awards.
The institution will provide technical knowledge to the selection process and other advisory services to ensure the event’s success.
This wouldn’t be the first time the two parties work together with regard to the Awards but reports gathered by Ghana’s biggest basketball portal point to more involvement from the Association in the upcoming Awards.
The date for the said event is yet to be confirmed as Ghana continues to grapple with the corona virus pandemic that halted a host of activities.
The West African nation is dealing with a ban on social gatherings including sports events that has forced competitions into indefinite suspensions.
One of such events is the 2020 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship that was at the zonal stage prior to the ban.
The Ghana Basketball Awards celebrates excellence in Ghana’s fastest rising sport-basketball and the likes of former Accra Basketball League Chairman Benjamin Baafi have been awarded on the night.
