Tema Community 2 Basketball Club Captain Prince Owusu has stated the club’s ambition for the 2020 Tema Community Basketball League Season.
Winning the title is the main aim for the Spartans this season he revealed in an interview with Basketballghana.comas the wait continues for the league to commence.
Ghana is dealing with a ban on all social gatherings including sporting activities that is due to end on May 31. The ban was put in place to reduce the rate of Corona Virus infections in the country that has infected over 5,600 people at the time of writing.
“Immediately the ban is lifted and the league begins, C2 Spartans will be ready to win it all…The team is working out at home to stay in shape. Our workouts a very intense and I can say we are in a very good shape should the league commence as soon as tomorrow” Owusu said.
C2 competed in the playoffs last season but missed out on a Final Four spot. The 2020 Tema League was due to start last month but the spread of the Corona Virus scuppered the launch date.
