Braves of Customs Center Suleman “Big Tyme” Abubakar has expressed his struggles coping in life without basketball Basketballghana.com can confirm.
The reigning Most Valuable Player of the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I opined this in an exclusive chat with Ghana’s leading basketball portal.
Abubakar was part of the Braves team that registered a win over Adenta Leopards in the 2020 season opener but the league has been suspended since March due to a ban on social gatherings in Ghana as a preventive measure to halt the spread of the Corona Virus.
“It’s very hard coping with not playing because of the ban. Praying and hoping things will get better so we can go back to our regular balling because it brings me a lot of joy whenever I go out there to put out my best for my teams and the fans” he said and added
“Not playing because of the ban is like something is missing inside of my soul… I feel pain”.
At the time of writing, Ghana had 4,700 confirmed cases of infections. Abubakar is a former Ghana Basketball Awards Most Valuable Player Award winner and has won multiple ABL titles with Braves.
