Reigning Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I Most Valuable Player Award Winner Suleman “Big Tyme” Abubakar has called for more league games to be played during the week.
He made this call in an exclusive interview with Basketballghana.com as the 2019 Best Player in the League and the rest of Ghana’s basketball fraternity continue to observe a ban on social gatherings including sports in the West African nation.
The ban was upheld and extended to May 31 as a preventive measure to reduce the spread of the Corona Virus; at the time of writing, Ghana had recorded over 5000 cases of infection.
“I think more games should be played within the week in order to shorten the time frame” he said before addressing players and coaches dress code especially during games.
“There is the need to dress well to a game as a player or coach because that’s like a job as well” Abubakar added.
The Braves of Customs player won the 2019 League title at the expense of Adenta Leopards.
