The French Government has suspended all sports activities until September Basketballghana.com can confirm; this includes the professional basketball league-Pro A.

The decision was taken recently that sent shock waves through the sports world as the country’s popular football league-Ligue 1 was also affected and the 2019-2020 season was cancelled afterwards.

News on the Pro A campaign’s next move is yet to be decided after 26 rounds of league fixtures were honoured before the Corona Virus pandemic hit France.

Ghana born French International Shooting Guard Billy Yakuba Ouattara’s Monaco side is in limbo since its fine season hangs in the balance.

Monaco led the league prior to the suspension of competition with 21 wins and four losses in 25 games  ahead of Dijon and defending champion ASVEL’S who share the same record.

Ouattara was having another solid campaign for Monaco with 11 points and four rebounds per game; the team’s wait for a league title would have to wait until a decision is made.

At the time of writing, France had recorded over 20,000 Corona Virus deaths.
