Basketballghana.com can confirm Thomas Amediku will Coach Spintex Knights in the upcoming Tema Community Basketball League campaign.
The 2020 Tema League was scheduled to commence later this month but the start date remains in the air due to restrictions imposed in Ghana over the spread of the Corona Virus.
The news came through earlier on May 2 via the team’s official Twitter handle; Knights are preparing to compete in the league for the second season after making its debut in the 2019 season.
Amediku has played in the Tema League and competed in the past campaign for Final Four side Tema Community 4 before the switch in profile.
The Shooting Guard doubles as a player for Adenta Leopards in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I; Leopards lost in last year’s finals to Braves of Customs.
Knights competed in the Tema League Finals but lost to Nungua Coldstore in its first year competing in the tournament. Dr. Eric Opoku-Antwi coached the team last season.
