Ghana Basketball has been thrown into the spotlight following the recent appointment of Richard Borsah as a representative for the International Basketball University (IBU).
The University specializes in courses related in basketball and the sports industry at large and is located in the European basketball hub-Lithuania.
The former Braves of Customs player has been involved in a player-coach role for Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I side Tudu Magic and Tema Community Basketball League outfit Tema Rockets since 2019.
He has represented Ghana in several international competitions and won multiple ABL titles with Braves; Customs is Ghana’s most accomplished club side and competed in the preliminary round of the Basketball Africa League
The veteran Forward will represent IBU in Ghana and the West African sub region with special focus on the institution’s aim of growing basketball from “youth to professional”.
In his capacity as Regional Director, Borsah has been authorized to organize basketball projects such as “basketball coaches’ education, basketball youth camps and basketball courses for coaches and players” according to the appointment letter.
