Ghana born French International Guard Billy Yakuba Ouattara and the rest of the French Pro A Basketball League wait for the restart of the league.
The league has been on suspension over a month due to the rapid spread of the Corona Virus pandemic that has affected France with over 10,000 deaths confirmed.
Prior to the suspension, Ouattara’s Monaco side was in line to end the Regular Season with the top after accruing 21 wins and three losses with Dijon and defending champions ASVEL in second and third place respectively.
The 28 year old is averaging 11 points in 25.3 minutes per game this season with 4.4 rebounds and a three point shooting percentage of 42.5
In his second season since returning to the Monaco side, Ouattara has been a consistent performer for the team at the Shooting Guard position.
This comes on the back of the former Brooklyn Nets player’s omission from the French National Team that competed at the 2019 World Cup.
Ouattara was born in Tepa, in Ghana’s Ashanti Region before moving to France with his parents.
