Basketball Coach Emmanuel Quaye has spoken candidly about the prospects of Ghana on the international scene in a Question and Answer session regarding the sport in the West African nation.
Basketballghana.com was privy to the session and the veteran Coach was doubled down on youth development in his response to questions.
Answering a question about the national team, the trainer popularly known as “Rubberman” opted to play the long game instead of quick fix solution.
“Let’s go to the youth 14, 15 years and we set a bigger goal so that we can achieve something better…we should set a bigger goal, we shouldn’t rush to anything that will take us to success. We have a long way to go, we shouldn’t set a shorter goal” he said.
Coach Quaye’s statement reflects sharply on his weekly training sessions with youngsters at the Tema Community 4 Court to aid their development in the sport.
He is the founder and Coach of Tema Youth Basketball Club.
