Ghanaian Basketball player Denzel Mensah has stated foreign players in Spain are eager to go home but can’t do so because of the lockdown in the European country.

Spain has been in a lockdown over the past weeks due to the Corona Virus pandemic that has claimed over 10,000 lives in the country.

Speaking exclusively to Basketballghana.com from his base in Valencia, the American born player is one of several players from other countries stuck indoors.

“The players right now most of them want to go home am not going to lie with the situation but contractually we can’t go home and also the airports I know in Valencia are shut down…they are not allowing anyone to leave so you are basically stuck in Spain right now” he said and advised people “to be careful”.

Mensah was playing out his debut season in Europe since turning pro prior to the suspension of the campaign due to the Corona Virus outbreak.

The young Point Guard held a clinic at the Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC-Legon) in 2019.
