Takoradi Technical University (TTU) Basketball Coach Owusu Ansah Ankrah has stated there wasn’t any secret behind his team’s success at the 2020 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship Zone 2.

TTU topped the Zone for the third year in a row by beating University of Cape Coast (UCC) 33-31 and University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) 49-25.

Winning the zone ensures TTU progresses to the national level of Ghana’s biggest tertiary basketball tournament; TTU won silver in the 2019 edition.

Speaking to Basketballghana.com exclusively, Coach Ankrah was quick to point out there was no special reason behind his team’s qualification other than his players listening to instructions.

“There wasn’t any secret except that my boys they listen to instructions and tactics and they played well. They did the job and we won” he said.

However, the competition was suspended for at least a month immediately after TTU’s qualification due to the Corona Virus spread.
