Radford University College Forward Godwin Tetteh has been named the Most Valuable Player in Zone One of the 2020 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.
Radford University beat Koforidua Technical University 43-25 and beat All Nations University College 46-31 to clinch the zonal title.
Tetteh was key in Radford University’s triumph in the zone and subsequent progression to the national championship stage of Ghana’s biggest tertiary basketball competition.
The Small Forward/ Shooting Guard scored late points from the free throw line to put Koforidua Technical University away with the latter trailing 22-29 at the end of the third quarter.
He scored crucial points and dished out assists in the zonal decider against All Nations University en route to helping his team secure a second zonal title in a row.
Tetteh was rewarded with souvenirs from CAL Bank for his efforts through the qualification phase. 32 teams are competing in this year’s UPAC across eight zones.
