Radford University College will compete in a friendly game later tonight against Reformers of Prisons Basketball Club Basketballghana.com can confirm.
The game tips off at 15:30 GMT at the Prisons Court in Cantonments ahead of Radford University’s run in the 2020 UPAC Basketball Championship commences on Saturday, March 7.
Radford is in Zone One with All Nations University College, Wisconsin International University College and defending Zonal Champion Koforidua Technical University.
The 2020 UPAC Zone One games are set to be played at the Pope John Senior High School in Koforidua and the winner qualifies to the national championship in Ghana’s capital Accra. This year’s tournament ends on April 18.
Radford made its UPAC debut in 2018 and played in the quarterfinals in 2019 after winning Zone 7; the team missed out on a semifinal spot however.
Reformers competed in the 2019 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I season and finished in seventh place with six wins and 10 losses.
The 2020 UPAC is sponsored by MTN, Decathlon and CAL Bank.
