Radford University College and Wisconsin International University College get to renew their rivalry on Saturday, March 7 in Zone One of the 2020 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.
The two teams squared off in the 2019 Private Universities Sports Association Games Final Radford won 35-25 for its first PUSAG title.
The teams have not played each other in Ghana’s biggest tertiary basketball tournament-UPAC- prior to this season due to placement in different zones.
However, due to scheduling reasons connected with this year’s PUSAG, Radford have been moved to Zone One to battle Wisconsin for the Zonal title.
Koforidua Technical University and All Nations University College round up the list of competing teams in Zone One on Saturday.
The zonal winner progresses to the national championship to be held in Ghana’s capital, Accra from April 16 to 18. 32 teams will compete in this year’s UPAC in eight zones across the country.
University of Ghana (UG) has won the tournament since 2016 and are the most successful team in the competition’s history.
