The search for the winner of the 2019 Tema Community Basketball League draws near as Spintex Knights and Nungua Coldstore prepare to play in Game One of the League Final Series tonight.
The league winner is to be determined in the best of a three game series to be played at the Tema Community 4 Court. Game One tips off at 18:30 GMT.
Coldstore aims to win a third league title after bagging wins in the 2016 and 2018 finals; the first team to clinch back to back league titles is also on the cards for Nungua.
Nungua will compete in the Finals without Power Forward Gerald Sappor who has been diagnosed with leukemia and has missed the entire playoffs.
His teammates successfully organized a basketball event and raised over $4000 last Sunday at the University of Ghana Court to aid in funding his treatment.
Knights on the other hand, are competing in the finals for the first time but have a deep roster filled with players with prior experience competing in the league.
Tema Rockets and home side Tema Community 4 will play in the Bronze Medal Game at 17:00 GMT.
