Ghana Forward Ben Bentil has been named to Delaware State’s All 2010’s First Team in the Boys Category at the High School level this week.
Bentil played for St. Andrews High School and moved on to play for Providence College for two years before turning professional.
He is the first Ghana born player to be drafted into the NBA and play in the NBA after his stint with Dallas Mavericks.
Bentil plays for Panathinaikos in Greece and represents the team in the EuroLeague.
Bentil was joined on the list by Milwaukee Bucks Milwaukee Bucks Shooting Guard Donte DiVincenzo, Trevor Cooney, Myles Cale and Nah’Shon Hyland.
24 year old Bentil was named as the top Defensive Player in the group on the successful night for the 6 foot 8 Forward who was drafted 51st overall by Boston Celtics in 2016.
Prior to signing for Panathinaikos, Sekondi native Bentil had played in China, France, Spain and Persiteri GS in Greece.
