Nigeria Senior National Women’s Basketball Team-D’Tigress- Guard Ezinne Kalu is adamant her team will stick to their style of play at the 2020 Olympics Basketball.

She made this statement in the aftermath of helping Nigeria seal qualification to this year’s Olympics following a successful qualification tournament held in Serbia.

Nigeria lost 71-76 to USA despite leading 57-50 at the end of the end of the third quarter and had two three point shot attempts late to beat USA.

Despite the loss, the West African nation did enough to qualify to the Olympics; Nigeria is the sole African representative after Mozambique failed to progress from the qualifiers.

“Afrobasket was us knocking at the door, the World Cup was our foot in the door, tournament was us kicking the door wide open. At the Olympics we will walk in with our heads held high and just play our game” she said to FIBA.

Kalu was named in the All Tournament Team after a string of standout performances. Kalu had 17 points, eight assists and four steals against USA.
