Nigeria competed at the 2016 Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and won its first ever game thanks to a 90-76 result against Croatia on August 13, 2016.
The West African nation’s national Female Basketball Team Coach Otis Hughley Jr. is a former Assistant Coach with NBA outfit Sacramento Kings. He led Nigeria to the 2018 World Cup quarterfinals and the 2019 AfroBasket Women’s title in 2019.
Brown served as Cleveland Cavaliers Head Coach for eight seasons and was named Coach of the Year in the NBA in 2009 and has served as Associate Head Coach of the Warriors since 2016 and has won two NBA titles.
