The final series matchup in the 2019 Tema Community Basketball League is to be contested between Nungua Coldstore and Spintex Knights.
The matchup became official after the semifinal stage concluded on Sunday, February 2 at the Tema Community 4 Court with Coldstore progressing at the expense of Tema Rockets.
Rockets lost 38-56 to Nungua in Game 3 after the teams split the series after two games earlier in January this year. The win was Coldstore’s second on the bounce.
A three point shooting spree in the second quarter from defending champions Coldstore put them ahead 38-16 en route at the end of the second quarter en route to another dominant win.
Knights on the other hand, had a straight forward series win over Tema Community 4 by sweeping the series; Knights beat C4 in two straight games including a 48-37 result in Game 1.
League debutant Spintex has impressed in its maiden run in the league and plays a Nungua side that has played in two previous finals. However, Knights have veteran players who have extensive history in the league.
