The 2020 Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games ended a near fortnight ago at the University of Ghana (UG) main campus in Legon.
The Men’s Basketball division certainly lived up to expectation as a series of exciting matches were played out between the competing universities.
This feeds into the next competition at the tertiary level-the Universities Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.
This year’s UPAC is due to take place in March but a specific date is yet to be communicated by organizers Rite Sports Limited.
The 2020 UPAC is the seventh edition of the competition which started in 2011 and has been staged annually since 2015 with a host of tertiary institutions participating.
Reigning GUSA Champions UG have also starred in the UPAC by winning four straight titles since Accra Technical University won the 2011 and 2015 editions.
However, the performances of University of Education-Winneba (UEW), University of Cape Coast (UCC) and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology at the GUSA Games sets up for an exciting UPAC.
