Angel McCoughtry is officially a free agent and open to sign to any team of her choice in the WNBA Basketballghana.com can confirm.

The veteran Forward visited Ghana twice in 2019 as she headlined an all girls basketball camp in the West African nation; the camp was the first of its kind in the country.

McCoughtry watched the 2020 Sprite Ball Championship final game in the Girls Division between Shama Senior High School and St. Louis Senior High School.

Since entering the WNBA in 2009, McCoughtry has played her entire career for Atlanta Dream and was given the green light to test free agency.

“The Atlanta Dream have decided, after conversations with Angel McCoughtry and her representation, to allow her to test free agency for the first time in her career” the team stated.

McCoughtry has represented USA on several occasions including the Olympics where she won Gold at the 2012 and 2016 Games respectively.

She recently recovered from a long term knee injury.
