Ghana Forward Joel Mensah was present to witness San Diego State University Men’s Basketball Team win its 20th game in a row to open the season.

The Aztecs 72-55 win over Wyoming earlier today at the Viejas Arena tied the school’s record of the most wins to open a season; the record was set in 2010 when Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard played for San Diego.

Mensah made a cameo appearance in the contest as he featured for just two minutes and gathered a rebound during his time on the court.

The second year player is battling back spasms and has not featured prominently over the past couple of games as a result. Guard Malachi Flynn led San Diego with 18 points, five rebounds and five assists.

Fellow Ghanaian Nathan Mensah did not play for San Diego as he battles a respiratory illness; he missed his seventh straight game in the process.

San Diego could stretch its record to 21 wins when the teams plays University of Las Vegas on Sunday, January 26.
