Tema Rockets Basketball Club is feeling confident ahead of its crucial clash against Nungua Coldstore on Sunday, January 26 in the Tema Community Basketball League Playoffs.
This level of confidence was relayed by Deputy Captain Aninagyei Osei who spoke exclusively to Basketballghana.com after his side clinched a 46-42 win over Coldstore this past weekend at the same venue.
Rockets shocked a lot of folks gathered at the league venue by playing hard consistent defense inside the paint and on the perimeter to frustrate Coldstore for large portions of the game.
In a chat after the exciting but physical battle between the teams, the veteran Guard spoke of his team’s mentality by stating:
“We are here to win the cup we are here to take the chip home that’s what we came for that’s what we are here for. If that wasn’t the purpose we shouldn’t have even played from the start”.
Another win on Sunday put Rockets in the finals.
