Spintex Knights have the advantage in its Tema Community Basketball League semifinal series against Tema Community 4.

Community 4 lost 37- 48 to Knights earlier tonight at the Tema Community 4 Court; Knights take a 1-0 lead in the best of three games series. Game 2 is to be played on January 26 at the same venue.

Spintex got off to a good start by taking a 7-2 lead with John Teye Okumoh completing a three point play and Kontor Appiah scoring in the run.

C4 got hot and reduced the deficit to 7-9 as Brian Kwami delivered a corner three pointer after a sequence of great ball movement; Moses Abu scored during the run.

Okumoh scored two free throws to give Knights an 11-7 first quarter lead. Knights built on its lead to take a 20-15 first half lead.

Samuel Abbey scored one of two free throws to end a very physical third quarter Knights led 33-27.

Kent Fosu buried a tough jumper and Thomas Amedeku added a pair of three pointers early on in the quarter.

Emmanuel Ocquaye scored nine points that had the lanky Center complete a three point play, tip in an offensive rebound and score the game’s final points from the free throw line. Muhaimin Guba scored a tough layup off a strong drive to the basket.
