Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) narrowly missed out on playing in overtime and possibly securing a win over University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) at the Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games.
GIMPA lost 49-50 to UHAS at the University of Ghana (UG) Main Court earlier today and missed the chance to secure its second straight win in the competition after beating Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) 71-35 on Tuesday, January 14.
Guard Bliss Corblah had the chance to tie the game from the free throw line and send the game into overtime but missed the first of two throws to give UHAS the win.
University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) beat UHAS earlier in the competition.
GIMPA trailed 35-41 at the end of the third quarter.
UMaT beat GIJ 75-26 in the second game of the day played at the same venue; UMaT led 66-18 at the end of the third quarter en route to the big win.
