University of Ghana (UG) is set to play University of Education-Winneba (UEW) later today in the Men’s Basketball Division at the ongoing 2020 Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games at 17:00 GMT.
Host UG face a tough UEW side that is yet to lose a game in the competition; UG has not tasted defeat thus far in the tournament setting the game up as a must see fixture.
In the all play all format of this year’s edition, ramifications from the game is likely to have major implications on the final standings of the participating institutions.
On Monday, January 13 UG’s Female Team handed UEW a 25-57 loss and could complete the double should the former register a win tonight; UG completed a double over UPSA as its Male and Female Teams came up top in matches against UPSA earlier in the tournament.
Veterans Benjamin Omare and Enoch Borsah lead UEW while veteran Coach Emmanuel “Ghanaar” Worbil leads UG’s young side. Debutants Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) and Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) square off at the same time.
