High ranking members of Keta Business College (KETABUSCO) will answer questions on player eligibility to the Ghana Education Service (GES) at the recently ended 2020 Sprite Ball Championship Basketballghana.com can confirm.

According to the official Twitter page of Sprite Ball organizers Rite Sports Limited, KETABUSCO Headmaster and some members of the school’s Physical Education Unit have called to answer questions regarding eligibility issues on some students who represented the school at the 2020 Sprite Ball.

KETABUSCO beat Mfantsipim School 48-40 in the final of the Boys Division to win its first ever Sprite Ball title; the competition is regarded as Ghana’s biggest High School basketball competition.

However, in the aftermath of the historic win, KETABUSCO has been embroiled in cheating allegations leveled at the school by some participating schools and even members of the public.

One of the allegations reported was KETABUSCO using unqualified players for the tournament and the GES responded by launching an investigation last week. If found guilty, KETABUSCO risks at least a two year ban from the tournament.
