University of Ghana (UG) has completed what certainly looked like a win over University of Professional Studies (UPSA) this morning in the Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games Women’s Basketball Division.
Host UG beat UPSA 85-6 in the ongoing multisport competition; the game commenced with 4:51 seconds left in the third quarter.
The game was originally played on Sunday, January 12 at the UG Main Court but had to be postponed due to an electrical fault at the venue that affected lighting hence poor visibility for the teams.
UG dominated proceedings last night with great plays from veterans Berlinda Tawiah, Carlen Adjei and Anita Bonney. UG led 56-2 at the time the game was postponed.
Point Guard Naomi Aginnie was instrumental in the big lead for UG over its next door neighbor. UG is set to play against the likes of University of Education-Winneba (UEW) in upcoming games.
This year’s GUSA Games is due to end on Sunday, January 19; UG won silver at the 2018 edition held at the University of Development Studies in Tamale.
