University of Ghana (UG) as completed a double win over University of Professional Studies (UPSA) in Basketball at the ongoing 2020 Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games.
In the Men’s Division, UG beat UPSA 73-41 on Sunday, January 12 at the UG Main Court while UG’s Female Team beat UPSA 85-6.
The Female game was originally played on Sunday after their Male counterparts squared off; the game was however postponed due to power failure at the court.
With UG leading 56-2 and 4:51 minutes left to play in the third quarter, the lights at the recently refurbished court went out and after several attempts to restore power failed, the matchup was moved to Monday.
The game continued at 7 AM today and gave UG the chance to score a big win over UPSA as it inches closer to secure a second straight finals appearance.
University of Cape Coast (UCC) are defending champions in the Women’s Division while UG are defending champions in the Men’s Division.
