Retiring key personalities in the Sprite Ball Championship fraternity were honoured at the just ended 2020 edition of Ghana’s biggest High School Basketball tournament at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.

Opoku Ware School Physical Education Unit Head Charles Kofi Darkwah and Adisadel College Physical Education Head Evans Ofei-Asiedu were celebrated for their immense contributions to the growth of the tournament.

Both men are set to retire from formal active duties at their respective schools later this year and both men supervised their respective schools at this year’s Sprite Ball for the final time in formal capacities.

Citations celebrating their achievement were presented to them in a brief ceremony at the competition by Rite Sports CEO Yaw Sakyi Afari and Ghana Education Service Physical Education Unit Head Emmanuel Dormenyah.

Under their watch, Adisadel College and Opoku Ware have grown to become household names in basketball at the High School level.

Opoku Ware won its sole Sprite Ball title in December 2016 under the watch of Kofi Darkwah while Adisadel is a near constant quarter finalist in Sprite Ball.
