Keta Business College (KETABUSCO) Guard Prince Gidisi and Shama Senior High School (SHASS) Guard Gifty Nkrumah were named the Most Valuable Player Award Winners at the recently ended 2020 Sprite Ball Championship.
Gidisi topped his peers in the Boys Division while Nkrumah did same in the Girls Division; both players led their schools to victory in the competition.
Nkrumah was instrumental in Shama’s first ever Sprite Ball title thanks to a 15-14 result over St. Louis Senior High School in the final.
Gidisi replicated Nkrumah’s form in the Boys Division as he led KETABUSCO to its debut finals appearance; KETABUSCO beat Mfantsipim School 48-40.
The win was KETABUSCO’s second in the tournament following a 32-24 win over the competition’s record winners in the opening game.
The pair inks their names in the long list of standout talents in Ghana’s biggest High School Basketball Tournament.
Abigail Gyamfi and Samuel Owusu were named MVP in the 2019 Championship after starring for Kumasi Girls High School and Mfantsipim School.
