Ghana Forward and former student athlete for Providence College Ben Bentil has been named in the Best Individual Seasons of the Decade list at Providence College.
The Top 5 List included some of the College’s top performers in the past ten years; Chicago Bulls Point Guard and former Bentil teammate Kris Dunn is on the list.
Bentil had a standout 2015-2016 season where he averaged 16.4 points, 6.2 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game in his second year at the College.
The Sekondi native would go on to win the Big East Player of the Year, Big East Defensive Player of the Year and get named to the All American 2nd Team.
Bentil declared for the NBA Draft and became the first Ghana born player to get drafted into the NBA; he became the first from the West African nation to play in the NBA during his short stint at Dallas Mavericks.
The soon to be 25 year old plays for Panathinaikos in the Greek League.
