West Africa Senior High School (WASS) has progressed to the semifinals of the 2020 Sprite Ball Championship taking place at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.
WASS beat 2018 Sprite Ball Champions Presbyterian Senior High School (PRESEC-Osu) in the last game at the quarterfinal stage.
For the umpteenth time in the tournament, WASS Forward Courage Agbekpornu was instrumental in his team’s win to return to the semifinals.
WASS had ample help from Guard Courage Dogbey who drilled a three point shot as PRESEC Osu threatened to reduce its deficit.
The win moves WASS into the semifinals and face Mfantsipim School in a rematch of the 2019 Sprite Ball Finals. Mfantsipim beat WASS to win its fifth title last year at the same venue.
Mfantsipim had a straight forward 27-11 win over St. John’s School. Keta Business College take on Prempeh College play in the other semifinal game for a place in the final game.
This is Keta Business College’s first ever semifinal appearance.
